TOLEDO, Ohio-St. John’s Jesuit High School recently hosted its annual 20/20 Scholars Banquet, honoring participants in the program. This year’s event held special significance as it also commemorated the retirement of Mary Barabino, the program director.
Senior Temon Fisher praised Barabino for her support, citing her assistance in bridging financial gaps and nurturing his growth both academically and socially. Fisher’s sentiments echoed by others at the banquet, reflecting on Barabino’s impactful contributions over her 20-year tenure, which facilitated education for over 300 students. Barabino’s dedication to diversity and inclusivity resonated deeply, leaving a lasting legacy. Despite her departure, the program’s mission to support students will persist.
