< 1 min read

TOLEDO, Ohio-The Lucas County Juvenile Court’s music education program, which partners with the Toledo Symphony, has received county commissioners’ approval to continue. Although the program was paused during the pandemic, it resumed recently and has proven beneficial for local youth in the criminal justice system. The program, costing about $28,000 annually, offers musical instruction, including choir and instrument lessons, and aims to engage and positively influence the youths involved. Since 2023, 105 youths from two treatment centers have participated. The funding for the program was confirmed by commissioners on Tuesday.
