TOLEDO, Ohio-Jason Baran, 42, has been arrested in Toledo after police discovered his four children living in “atrocious and inhumane” conditions. The children were found without clothes, food, furniture, or proper lighting, and were covered in dirt, mud, and feces, with signs of neglect and abuse, including circular burn marks. Two of the children, who were of school age, had never been enrolled in school. The children also reported being molested. Baran faces charges of endangering children, obstructing justice, and failure to disclose information. A relative had previously reported the conditions to child services, but action was not taken until now. The children are currently receiving proper care.
