GALION, Ohio-The Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) supports music educators and provides students with various performance opportunities, including competitions, festivals, and prestigious Allstate ensembles. This year, Galion City School District sophomore Cameron Fullen earned a spot in the Allstate Band, being one of only four tuba players selected from over 450 applicants. In addition to this achievement, Cameron will be the sole tuba player in the Northwest Regional Orchestra. She actively participates in her school’s music programs, including marching band, jazz band, and concert band, and has been involved in several honor bands across Ohio. Currently, she is preparing for the OMEA District 2 festival auditions and the Young Artists International Concerto Competition, with the support of her parents who have provided private lessons for two years. Cameron is well-positioned for continued success in her musical journey.
