Parishioners want Answers After Mason Pastor says he Ordered Hard Drive Destroyed with Alleged Child Porn

< 1 min read

CINCINNATI, Ohio-Father Barry Stechschulte, a Mason pastor, faces calls for resignation from local Catholics following revelations that he ordered the destruction of evidence of alleged child pornography and delayed reporting it to police for six years while serving at another church. In a letter to the St. Susanna community, where he is currently pastor, Stechschulte admitted to his mistake and expressed regret for not reporting the incident sooner. Despite asking for forgiveness during a Mass sermon, parishioners have voiced deep concern and called for new leadership at the parish. The Archdiocese of Cincinnati has indicated no plans to change Stechschulte’s assignment amid growing criticism and fears among parents regarding child safety.
