IRONTON, Ohio-Students at Rock Hill Elementary School and its adjoining preschool were celebrated for their fundraising efforts, which benefitted children’s hospitals. Magician Billy Hall performed for the children, and the group’s signature miniature trucks were on display.
The school collaborated with El Hasa Shriner Hillbilly Clan 1 Outhouse 8 on penny drives, with Rock Hill raising $1,549.17. Two preschool students were named honorary hillbillies for their fundraising achievements. The funds raised support activities like purchasing equipment for Shriners hospitals. The partnership between the school and the Shriners has lasted over a decade, and the funds also support transportation for children in need. The Shriners expressed gratitude to the students for their contributions.
