CINCINNATI, Ohio-School districts in the Tri-State area, like Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS), are grappling with severe staffing shortages, with over 100 teaching positions currently vacant. In an effort to address this issue, CPS organized a job fair at Aiken High School, aiming to attract potential candidates to fill the vacant teaching positions.
Among the attendees was Parker Chasteen, a graduate of Fairfield High School and Miami University, who expressed confidence but also admitted feeling nervous about the prospect of securing a teaching position at a CPS school. Despite the challenges, Chasteen saw the job fair as an opportunity to explore available positions and contribute to addressing the staffing shortages in local schools.
