HAVILAND, Ohio-Wayne Trace Junior-Senior High School concluded its 2023-2024 school year with various PBIS activities and giveaways sponsored by Lee Kinstle GM Sales and Service, Grover Hill VFW Post 2873, Van Wert Cinemas, and the Sorensen Family. PBIS, an evidence-based framework, aims to improve academic, social, and behavioral outcomes for students.
The Raider PBIS system included attendance incentives and quarterly reward drawings, with approximately 75 prizes every nine weeks. Students in grades 7 through 12 earned tickets throughout the year by demonstrating Respectfulness, Responsibility, and Readiness. Junior Ryan Bostelman won the grand prize, an electric bike donated by Lee Kinstle. Wayne Trace Junior/Senior High expressed gratitude to sponsors for rewarding students who exemplify these positive behaviors.
