SHEFFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio-During a police chase initiated by Sheffield Village Police after an 18-year-old driver failed to comply with a traffic stop for speeding on Abbe Road, the chase ended in a crash into a Sheffield Lake home.
The driver fled into Sheffield Lake, leading to the Sheffield Village officer halting the pursuit. The driver then crashed into a house on Lake Road, causing significant damage to the garage. The 18-year-old sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the hospital. The incident is currently under investigation.
