APPLE CREEK, Ohio-Southeast Local Schools has been renamed Waynedale Local Schools and now operates from a new, state-of-the-art campus on Dover Road. The updated facility features modern technology in classrooms and a larger gym for events. Funding for the new building came from tax revenue related to the Rover Pipeline in Wayne County. The new school consolidates all grade levels onto one campus, replacing older buildings that lacked amenities such as air conditioning, a major improvement praised by students. The consolidation is seen as a positive development, fostering better relationships between different age groups and creating opportunities for mentoring and career exploration. Staff and students are excited about their new environment, which they liken to a scene from “High School Musical.”
