In Alliance, testing is under way before Stark County’s first Safe Haven Baby Box goes on-line. According to staff with the Safe Haven Baby Box organization, the Alliance Fire Department is currently going through all the proper steps to get the box installed and makes sure all of the alarms are hooked up. The installation of the box comes after a woman surrendered her baby to the Alliance Central Fire Station under Ohio’s Safe Haven Law.
