AKRON, Ohio-Akron Police detectives are investigating the death of a 13-year-old girl found in Minordy Place, an alley near S. Arlington Street. A resident called the police after discovering the body. There were no apparent signs of trauma, and the circumstances are labeled as a “sudden death.”
The girl, identified by the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office, was a student at East Middle School. The school district is providing support to the community. The girl’s father reported her missing on Sunday, mentioning family issues. An autopsy conducted revealed no apparent trauma, and further testing will determine the cause and manner of death.
