A 20-year-old Haitian student in Ohio has died after walking into traffic, with his family saying he had become increasingly distressed after losing Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and being placed on an ICE ankle monitor. Pierre Damas Bel was struck by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 70 in Springfield on August 31 and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
