AKRON, Ohio-Early Thursday morning, a 14-year-old girl in Middlebury, Akron, was shot near her left knee while walking with friends to a friend’s house. Law enforcement responded to reports of the shooting around 3:25 a.m. at Margaret and Corley streets. The victim reported being shot by an unknown suspect who drove by in a suspicious vehicle. She was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. Police found a shell casing at the scene and continue to investigate the incident.
