CINCINNATI, Ohio-Eight-month-old Hudson Coombs has faced significant health challenges since birth. Born at home with paramedics present, Hudson initially appeared healthy but was soon diagnosed with congenital heart disease. He underwent biventricular heart repair surgery and was later identified as having Weiss-Kruszka Syndrome, a rare genetic condition. Hudson has spent much of his life in hospitals, first at Good Sam and then at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. His father, Keith, has also been dealing with additional stress as his business, The Fix Coffee House and Bar, has been burglarized multiple times, including recently. Meanwhile, Keith’s wife Liz is on unpaid medical leave from her job, adding financial strain to the family’s situation.
