MERCER, Ohio-A 28-year-old man from Sharon has been arrested and jailed on multiple criminal charges involving alleged abuse of a minor over a two-year period. The victim, now 8 years old, reported the incidents to counselors. The accused allegedly used threats of violence to prevent the child from telling anyone. He has denied the allegations during police questioning. He is currently in Mercer County Jail on $60,000 bond and faces eight criminal charges. A court hearing is scheduled for November 13.
