Updated Ohio law requires cell phone classroom ban

In what lawmakers say is the final phase-in of a cell phone ban, Ohio schools will now be required to have a policy limiting cell phone use in the classroom. The updated Ohio law, included in the recent state budget, allows for exceptions for students who have health concerns that need monitoring and allows students to use phones for learning. Students who need to use their phones to monitor a health condition will need to provide written documentation from their physician.
