CINCINNATI, Ohio-Jarelle Redden, the longtime head coach of Woodward High School’s boys basketball program, is stepping down to join South Carolina State University’s men’s basketball coaching staff. Redden, who has been with Woodward since 2013 as both an assistant and head coach, leaves behind a legacy of mentorship and community service.
Under his leadership, Woodward achieved notable success, including two conference championships and two district titles. Redden’s impact extended beyond the court, as he served as a father figure and mentor to many students, including standout player Paul McMillan IV. Redden’s departure marks the end of a successful era for Woodward basketball, characterized by both athletic achievement and personal growth.
