BATAVIA, Ohio-A 13-year-old student at West Clermont Middle School in Batavia Township, Ohio, has been charged with making threats after creating a bomb threat to avoid attending school. School administrators discovered a note inside a restroom indicating a bomb threat, prompting a soft lockdown and investigation by the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon questioning, an 11-year-old confessed to creating the note and admitted there was no actual bomb, expressing a desire to skip school. Law enforcement confirmed the absence of a threat following a search by K-9 units. The student has been charged with inducing panic and suspended from school pending further disciplinary action.
