MADEIRA, Ohio-Madeira High School appointed Brian Kellett as its boys basketball head coach. Superintendent Kenji Matsudo emphasized Kellett’s passion, knowledge of the game, and ability to build relationships. Kellett brings over 20 years of coaching experience, including previous roles at St. Xavier and Madeira.
He aims to implement a fast-paced, high-scoring style while focusing on maximizing the team’s offensive potential. Kellett’s goal is to create an environment where players excel both in basketball and in life. Several familiar faces will join the coaching staff, including Madeira graduates and current coaches. Kellett, a parent of two daughters attending Madeira, follows in the footsteps of longtime coach Jim Reynolds and Rick Rockwell as the third head coach in the program’s recent history.
