BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio-The Bellefontaine High School Orchestra participated in the Trills and Thrills Music Contest at Wilmington High School, where they received a Superior rating for their performance.
Led by Orchestra Director Laura Mitchell, the orchestra showcased pieces including “Fantasia on a Theme from Thailand” by Richard Meyer, “Voyager” by Soon Hee Newbold, and “Legends of Glory” by Kathryn Griesinger. Following their success, the orchestra enjoyed a visit to Kings Island. This achievement adds to their previous Superior rating at the OMEA State Orchestra Adjudicated Event in March. The orchestra members who performed at Wilmington include several students who demonstrated their musical talent and dedication.
