TOLEDO, Ohio-Starting in the 2024-2025 school year, Anthony Wayne Local Schools will implement a pay-to-participate policy for junior high and high school student-athletes. High school athletes will pay $150 for their first sport, $125 for the second, and no fee for the third, while middle school athletes will pay $80 for the first two sports and no fee for the third.
Additional details include exemptions for certain sports like cheer and swim and dive, payment methods, and scholarship opportunities. The program does not guarantee playing time, and fees are non-refundable in certain circumstances. Families with financial need can inquire about fee scholarships through the Athletics Office.
