RAVENNA, Ohio-Kristen Plageman has been appointed as the new treasurer for the Ravenna City School District, replacing Candi Lukat. Plageman, who will start on July 15, brings expertise in financial management and program development. She will work on putting an emergency levy on the November ballot, following the recent levy failure.
Plageman previously served as the director of strategic initiatives for the Parma City School District and holds various certifications and licenses in education. She expressed excitement about joining the Ravenna community and contributing to positive pathways for children. Superintendent Laura Hebert praised Plageman’s experience in financial management and strategic initiatives, highlighting her potential to benefit the district. The search for a new superintendent is ongoing, following Hebert’s announced retirement in July.
