RICHWOOD, Ohio-The Star Farmer award, the highest recognition from the Ohio FFA, acknowledges outstanding achievement in agriculture. Bailee Amstutz, a senior at North Union, exemplifies this with her impressive project that began at the age of 2. She now manages 78 ewes and three rams, demonstrating skills in AI usage and sheep husbandry.
Bailee has garnered national recognition for her showmanship and breeding success, including raising a champion buck whose offspring are sold nationwide. Despite her achievements, she remains hands-on in her operation, overseeing all aspects from lambing to showing. Currently attending Butler Community College, Bailee is also a member of their Livestock Judging team, further showcasing her dedication to the agricultural industry.
