WASHINGTON, Ohio-The Washington Local Schools Board of Education is in talks with Kristie Martin, the current assistant superintendent, to potentially appoint her as the next superintendent. Martin, who has been with the district for 22 years, has previously served as a principal at both an elementary school and Whitmer High School. The board has agreed to enter into contract negotiations with her following a meeting on Wednesday night.
