MILFORD, Ohio-Milford City Manager Michael Doss resigned on August 8, shortly before being charged with importuning by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost. The charges stem from an undercover investigation by the Miami Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, which revealed that Doss attempted to purchase sex from someone he believed was a 15-year-old girl. Additional charges may be forthcoming. Doss had been with Milford for eight years and was recently re-signed to a three-year contract with a salary that increased to $112,000 in 2024. His resignation followed the confrontation about these allegations. Milford Police Chief Jamey Mills expressed shock and sadness over the charges and stated that the city supports law enforcement’s actions.
