CINCINNATI, Ohio-Due to extreme heat, several schools are adjusting schedules to ensure student safety:
– Oak Hills School District: Schools including Oak Hills High, Delhi Middle, and Bridgetown Middle are dismissing students two hours early each day from August 27 to August 30 because they lack air conditioning. Delhi and Bridgetown Middle Schools will release at 12:30 p.m., and Oak Hills High at 12:48 p.m.
– Finneytown Secondary Campus: Students in grades 7-12 will also be dismissed early at 12:50 p.m. due to no air conditioning. Finneytown Elementary will remain open as it has air conditioning.
– Lockland Schools: The main campus is closed for the week due to extreme heat.
Youth Sports Adjustments:
– Some football games, including those at Lakota West and Covington Catholic High School, are being rescheduled or delayed to avoid peak heat times.
