ROSS, Ohio-The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office fired Deputy Charles Davis after he was indicted on 58 charges, including 32 counts of rape and 26 counts of gross sexual imposition. Sheriff Dallas Baldwin announced Davis’ termination following an administrative hearing, citing the severity of the allegations. Davis, 50, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Task Force on July 31 and is accused of sexually abusing a child under 13 between March 2020 and August 2021. The police union will not represent Davis, who has pleaded not guilty and was released on a $500,000 bond.
