A 14-year-old boy was shot in the East Akron neighborhood on Saturday night around 10 p.m. on the 700 block of Eugene Street. Police officers provided immediate medical assistance by applying a chest seal and tourniquet before emergency medical services arrived. The teen was hospitalized at Akron Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. At this time, no arrests have been made, and few details about the shooting have been released.
