April 5th, 2024- SAINT MARYS- Ohio-Delaney Klausing, a local middle school student, achieved the State Runner-Up title at the Ohio Athletic Committee State Championship, marking a promising start to her wrestling career. Competing for the Youth Lady Riders, it was Klausing’s first year in wrestling, and she demonstrated notable skill and determination. Her coach, Jody Poff, emphasized the significance of the OAC championship, highlighting it as a platform for talented youth and middle school wrestlers akin to the high school level competitions governed by the OHSAA.
