COLUMBUS, Ohio-Grandview Heights attorney Stephen Chinn, 40, pleaded guilty to federal charges of receiving and possessing child sex abuse images. The plea deal recommends a prison sentence of five to nine years. Chinn, a former Franklin County public defender, was found to have uploaded and possessed over 4,000 child sexual abuse images, some downloaded from a Russian social media site. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children flagged the content. Chinn was initially charged with state-level offenses but faced federal charges in September 2023.
