No youth cited or detained in Cincinnati during first weekend under stricter curfew

During the first weekend of Cincinnati’s new, stricter curfew rules for juveniles, no one was cited for breaking curfew or taken to a curfew center, police reported. In response to a spike in crime in the city’s urban core this summer, Cincinnati City Council passed an ordinance this month requiring unaccompanied children under the age of 18 to be home by 11 p.m. In Downtown and Over-the-Rhine south of Liberty Street, they must be home by 9 p.m.
