CINCINNATI, Ohio-Robert Burnside, the principal of Lakota East High School in Liberty Township, Cincinnati, is under investigation for insubordination after allowing a former student who was experiencing homelessness to continue attending the school despite being unenrolled. District administrators raised concerns during a pre-disciplinary meeting, questioning how the student was able to receive school lunches and the potential liability if the student were injured on school grounds. The inquiry was prompted by the student’s unenrollment and the principal’s decision to let them stay in school.
