New High School, Other Renovation Approved in Bowling Green Board of Education Meeting

< 1 min read

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-Bowling Green City Schools recently approved a master facilities plan funded by a tax levy passed in 2023. The plan involves constructing a new high school and renovating the district’s activity center. The $73 million allocated for construction comes from the levy approved by voters, marking the fifth time such a levy was passed.

The old high school is deemed “beyond repair” and will be demolished for the new construction. Following this, the activity center will be renovated, and decisions will be made regarding renovations or new facilities for elementary schools. Additionally, the district plans to create an Ohio Facilities Construction Commission resolution to optimize square footage based on student enrollment in each building.
