COLUMBUS, Ohio-A 2-year-old boy was injured in a drive-by shooting on Saturday night in southeast Columbus. Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert just after 10:10 p.m. on Ellsworth Avenue, followed by a 911 call reporting the child had been shot inside a home. Officers found the boy with a gunshot wound to the torso, and he was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in critical condition. His condition was later upgraded to stable, and he is expected to survive. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear, and no suspect information has been released. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Columbus Police or Crime Stoppers.
