PLAIN, Ohio-Elizabeth Winkler, a teacher and coach at Plain Local Schools for 26 years, is retiring at the end of the school year. Throughout her career, she has taught various English and French courses and coached track and cross country. Her colleagues praise her exceptional people skills and dedication to teaching.
Winkler, who returned to Plain Local after teaching in Mentor School District, values the sense of community in Plain Local. Her students appreciate her thorough teaching methods and credit her with preparing them for future teaching careers. Though retiring from teaching, Winkler plans to continue coaching and looks forward to traveling. She reflects fondly on her career and cherishes the relationships she has built with her students and colleagues.
