BG Schools Working to Make Sure all Fifth Graders can Make it to Camp this Fall

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-New Bowling Green City Schools Superintendent Ted Haselman reported a successful first day back at school, with all students safely transported and fed. Haselman observed smiling faces during visits to all buildings.

Board member Ginny Stewart highlighted the district’s need for community donations to support fifth graders attending camp in the fall. The camp experience is significant for many students who have limited travel opportunities. While the cost per student has decreased to $195, some families still struggle to afford it. Stewart emphasized the importance of community support in covering expenses such as meals and supplies for the week-long camp.
