Erie County dad accused of using cattle prod on his children expected to go to trial

While the Erie County dad accused of using a cattle prod to discipline his two young children had a plea hearing scheduled Tuesday in Erie County Court of Common Pleas, that hearing did not happen.

Instead, court staff said Robert Bores is expected to go to trial, where he will face charges including three counts of domestic violence and three counts of endangering children.

Bores was arrested on March 13, 2024 after a tip from Children Services led Erie County Sheriff’s Detectives to his home in the area of State Route 113 in Florence Township.
