LIMA, Ohio-On Friday, the Apollo Career Center welcomed around 1,200 8th and 9th graders from 11 feeder schools, allowing them to explore various programs available. Students toured classes such as HVAC, electrical systems technology, and the newly introduced criminal justice program, where Lima Police officers discussed their careers. Administrators emphasized the importance of this visit in helping students understand the center’s offerings and the range of career paths available after high school. Jamie Buell, a school counselor, noted that many students are unaware of the diverse programs and opportunities at Apollo.
