Talawanda High School Teacher Placed on Leave After Allegedly Filming Social Media Video on School Property

OXFORD, Ohio -A teacher at Talawanda High School is on paid administrative leave following concerns about social media videos or posts allegedly made by the teacher. The district is investigating whether the videos were filmed on school property using district-owned devices. While the content of the videos has not been disclosed, reports suggest they may include political posts following the recent presidential election. The district is taking the matter seriously and has stated it will not release further information during the investigation. Talawanda School District policy prohibits teachers from campaigning for political candidates on school property during work hours, though it allows personal political expression outside of instructional settings, provided it doesn’t conflict with district interests or disrupt school harmony.
