The soon-to-be-former Monticello Middle School will have a new name firmly in place by the beginning of the 2025-26 academic year and leading up to the building’s 100th anniversary. The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Board of Education voted Tuesday (March 4) to rename the school in light of any namesake ties to the Virginia plantation owned by founding father and former president Thomas Jefferson.
