JEFFERSON, Ohio-Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) in Kentucky will end bus transportation for most magnet students, affecting about 15,000 students across 28 schools and programs. This change could lead to enrollment shifts as students may struggle to find their own transportation to and from campus.
Additionally, some students zoned for an Academies of Louisville program will also lose access to district transportation. However, it’s noted that Western High students will still receive busing under the new transportation plan. The impacted schools include both elementary and middle schools hosting magnet programs.
