DAYTON, Ohio-Three-year-old Saja Junaid, injured in a drone strike, has arrived in Dayton, Ohio, for medical treatment of third-degree burns. Assisted by the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), Saja, her mother Zainab, and brother Mehmood came to the United States.
Saja’s treatment will be at Shriners Children’s Hospital, facilitated by PCRF. Although the duration of treatment is uncertain, PCRF is aiding with ongoing medical expenses. Saja’s father couldn’t join them due to injury. Zainab hopes for improved access to medical care for all war-affected children. Saja’s treatment has begun, with the ultimate goal of returning home once healed.
