GIRARD, Ohio-Nicholas Clark, a 31-year-old man from Girard, was convicted in March 2024 for raping two boys aged 7 and 9 between 2016 and 2021. He was found guilty on seven counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition, receiving a life sentence without parole. Clark appealed his conviction, claiming insufficient evidence and challenging the life sentence. However, the appeals court rejected these claims. Despite the defense’s argument that the conviction relied solely on victim testimony without physical evidence, the jury found Clark guilty on all charges. He will continue serving his sentence at Belmont Correctional Institution.
