LAKEWOOD, Ohio-A former Lakewood student was arrested for bringing a “deadly weapon” onto school property, as reported in a statement to parents. The individual entered the high school through the student entrance doors to the cafeteria around 7:30 a.m.
They were identified as a non-student by a teacher and detained in the cafeteria until police arrived and took them into custody. The district expressed gratitude for the prompt response of staff and law enforcement, emphasizing their commitment to student and staff safety. Continuous safety protocol evaluations are conducted.
