Grandview Heights Schools’ $69.5 Million Bond Passes

GRANDVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio-Voters in Grandview Heights approved a $69.5 million bond issue in November, with 60.87% voting “yes.” The bond will fund the construction of a new Stevenson Elementary School ($52.2 million) and Phase 1 and 2 improvements to the district’s K-12 athletic complex ($17.3 million). The district cited ongoing maintenance issues with the existing Stevenson Elementary, built in 1926, and the need to modernize the athletic complex, originally built in the 1920s for fewer sports and only male athletes. The improvements will address increased student-athlete needs, accessibility, and safety. Construction for the new Stevenson Elementary is planned for the 2026-2027 school year, with completion by the start of the 2027-2028 school year. The athletic complex design and timeline will be developed with input from the community over the next year.
