INIAN LAKE, Ohio-The Indian Lake Board of Education approved negotiated contracts with the Indian Lake Education Association and the Indian Lake Association of Classified Employees for three years. Superintendent Dr. Rob Underwood highlighted the collaborative negotiation process. The board also updated the 2024-25 school year calendar to include an additional staff workday.
Repairs for hail-damaged roofs at the elementary gym and high school are estimated at $1.4 million, with insurance covering most costs. Donations totaling $19,000 were accepted for athletic uniforms and mental health speakers. Several ILHS/OHP FFA students were recognized for their achievements. The treasurer provided a five-year financial forecast update. Graduation ceremonies for 133 seniors will take place on May 24th at Laker Stadium. The next board meeting is scheduled for June 17th.
