LEWISTOWN, Ohio-Indian Lake High School and Middle School students honored local veterans during their annual Veterans Day Luncheon and Celebration. The event, held at the ILHS campus, featured a meal served by student clubs, followed by a formal recognition ceremony in the auditorium. Veterans were introduced and applauded as they took their seats. The ceremony included the Pledge of Allegiance, the National Anthem sung by senior Daniel Wahl, and essays read by Middle School students Samantha Altstaetter and Zeke McVety, with Cambria Tuttle reading an essay by Ali Everhart. Senior Svea Martini performed “Taps,” and the ILHS Band and Chorale played patriotic music. The event concluded with students thanking veterans, taking photos, and reflecting on the day’s significance.
