ASHLAND, Ohio-During a recent meeting, the Mapleton Board of Education received updates from district administrators regarding damage to the middle school gym roof caused by severe storms and high winds in mid-June. The storms tore the roof, resulting in mild flooding inside the gym. To address this, the district has contracted M. Smith Roofing of Shelby to install a temporary cover for the gym until permanent repairs can be completed.
