Medina Community Rallies Behind 10-Year-Old Girl With Rare Form of Cancer

MEDINA, Ohio-The community of Medina, Ohio, has rallied around 10-year-old Lexi Serio, who has been battling synovial cell sarcoma since 2020. After nearly two months of treatment in Seattle, Lexi received a joyous homecoming surprise organized by her family, friends, local law enforcement, and neighbors.

Welcomed with cheers, posters, balloons, and confetti, Lexi was overwhelmed by the support. The community’s unity and encouragement have buoyed Lexi and her family in their fight against cancer. Despite uncertainties about the treatment’s outcome, they remain hopeful and grateful for the support they’ve received.
